Design
Our well-established design department uses 3D CAD systems (computer aided design) to streamline the design process thus eliminating virtually all design problems before the job goes to our manufacturing department.
MANUFACTURING/ASSEMBLING
A wide range of DNC linked CNC machining centers (3, 4 and 5 axes) and CNC, lathes with milling tools provide substantial high precision milling and turning capacity. The CNC sections are complimented by an extensive range of conventional milling, turning, cylindrical and flat surface grinding and CNC spark erosion machines.
All materials are regularly processed from solids, forgings and castings, ranging from steel, tool steels (hardened up to 62 HRC), titanium, inconel, aluminum, alloys, copper, plastics and composites.
Axon's Project Engineers, in liaison with Quality Engineers are responsible for machine programming, shop aids, tooling and production of components in the most cost effective way possible.
CNC Milling sizes: 1600 mm x 650 mm x 700 mm
CNC Turning sizes: Ø600 mm & L= 1000 mm
Conventional Turning sizes: Ø1300 mm & L= 3000 mm

Axon is currently using Unigraphics version 4 and for CAM Edgecam version 9.5 by Pathtrace Engineering Systems.
